What Teej is
Red saris, gold light, and every song you know
Teej is the festival Nepali women keep for Shiva and Parvati — red saris, gold chura on both wrists, green pote, and a tika. For one day the colour of the whole room is red.
The night before the fast is dar: the feast. Rich food, family and friends, and the singing that gives the festival its name — teej geet, one after another, until the floor is full.
Lumanti brings that night to Harrisburg on September 12. Come in red, bring your mother, bring your daughters, and stay for the dancing.

$25 general admission. Your QR ticket arrives by email the moment payment clears — one code per person, so bring one for everyone you are coming with.

What should I wear?
Red. Teej is the red festival — a red sari, gold chura, green pote and a tika if you have them. Nobody is turned away for what they are wearing, but the room looks the way it should when everyone comes in colour.
Can I bring my family?
Yes — Teej is a family night. Mothers, daughters, sisters and friends all come. Programme details are being finalised and will be posted here first.
What time should I get there?
Doors at 6:00 PM, programme from 7:00 PM. Come early if you want a table with your people.
Can I forward my ticket to a friend?
Yes. Whoever arrives first with the QR gets in on it. Once a code has been scanned it cannot be used again, so do not share one code with more people than you have tickets.
Can I get a refund?
Tickets are refundable up to 48 hours before doors. After that you can hand your ticket to a friend — the QR is transferable until it is scanned.
